General Information

  • Date of Exam: AP World History Modern on Thursday, May 11th @ 8am - 2022

  • You can link to EVERY LECTURE I've taught for APWH HERE

  • If you would like to read any Chapter from the Textbook (we cover Chapter 13-38), Traditions & Encounters for this course - contact me stephen.jones@nhcs.net and I will provide what you need.
     

What the test format will look like

  • 55 Multiple Choice Questions (55 minutes)   40% of Exam Score

  • 4 SAQ's (You will do 3) - Short Answer Responses (50 minutes)    20%

  • 1 DBQ (Document Based Question)  (55 minutes)   25%
    (Note: the 55 min includes a reading period w/ suggested time of 15 minutes)

  • 1 LEQ - Long Essay Question  (35 minutes)  15%
    (Note: 1 question chosen from a pair)

  • AP College Board has a YouTube Channel. These Unit reviews are from 2022 but work fine for 2023 - HERE   

  • Try Kahoot at Kahoot.comLinks to an external site.. You may need an account but then search for AP WORLD HISTORY and there will be many practice questions. Try to find those that test for Units 4 - 6 (older units from 8,000 BCE-600CE are not covered on AP Exams anymore).

  • Try some SAQ's below. Read the question and practice. When finished, scroll down for what moderators look for in an answer.

  • Heimler's History is excellent ! Peruse his channel and you will find tons of free content ! Yes - a subscription is an option...but seriously, there is so much free stuff on his channel with daily free videos being released, you can find endless resources of help. I will provide updated video releases by Heimler on occasion (scroll down to bottom of page)

  • Marco Learning offers lots of help to prepare for the AP Exams. For some material you may need a subscription, but they offer free resources as well. Feel free to search the web for other free content they provide as well.
